Welcome to BootFort.dev
This blog is primarily for me: a place to practise expressing ideas clearly, learn by writing, and build an online presence. I hope it will also be useful to anyone who shares my interests.
I made a New Year's resolution to start a blog or YouTube channel. You may be asking "Another blog / YouTube channel ? There are plenty of them, what can you bring ?". And that's a good question! I've been asking myself that for a couple of years.
The reason for this blog is not what you would expect
It's not for you (primarily). It's for me. Yes, yes, I hope you will find some information here that will be useful for you, or I will point you in the right direction where you can find information you need (if there is an outage of Google or AI :-P). The main reason though is to learn to express myself online, "articulation training" (you probably saw those nice animal ads for it :-D), learn new things (it's hard to learn only by watching videos), and build online presence.
A couple of months ago I saw a great YouTube video about how to create a blog with automation, and I was like - Yes, I want something like that, with a couple of changes. And after seven months this year - do you think I found time to build it? And start writing?
No, of course not.
I could wait endlessly for the perfect time and opportunity, but now I am like - nah, I will build it right away. No fancy pipeline and automation. A simple template generated by one prompt using Codex, one Markdown file per article and let's go. Automation will come in small steps, hopefully.
What will I write about?
- Software development - mostly web development with React, React Native and related topics
- Homelab - I bought two mini PCs and a switch to get started ( inspired by NetworkChuck and Christian Lempa) and made a couple of Proxmox installations...
- Automation and AI - n8n, Hermes agent...
- My hobbies ? - which I will uncover... maybe... if I don't have any other topics to talk about :-D
How often I will post?
My goal is to publish every Monday - at least to start.
That's all for today! See you next Monday.
